Description

C.A.P. strips the flight simulator genre down to its absolute basics: fly, shoot, and don't crash. You are the last line of defense for an aircraft carrier floating in the middle of a warzone. Inspired by WW2 dogfights, the game uses a distinct pixel art 3D style to render the chaos of aerial combat. Do not let the simple visuals trick you; this game is hard.

The Gameplay Loop: Fight and Refuel

Most shooters let you fly indefinitely. C.A.P. introduces a stress inducing mechanic: Fuel. You cannot just chase enemies to the edge of the map. You must constantly keep an eye on your fuel gauge and circle back to fly over your carrier to refuel. This creates a tense rhythm where you have to break off engagements to survive, or risk crashing into the ocean.

Controls and Mechanics

The controls are deceptively simple. You only control the turn direction; the plane flies and shoots automatically. This makes it accessible for quick sessions, but mastering the turning radius to line up shots while dodging incoming fire is where the skill lies. If you enjoyed the intense military action in Battalion Commander 2, this takes that tension to the skies. It is a perfect addition to our catalog of challenging shooting games.

Instructions

How to Play C.A.P.

Your goal is to shoot down enemy planes and protect your carrier. If your fuel runs out or you take too much damage, it is game over.

PC Controls

  • Steering: Use the Left Arrow and Right Arrow keys to turn your plane.
  • Shooting: Automatic.
  • Refuel: Fly over the carrier.

Mobile Controls

  • Steering: Tap the Left side of the screen to turn left, and the Right side to turn right.
  • Shooting: Automatic.

Tips for Survival

  • Leash Logic: Treat the carrier like a leash. Don't chase an enemy too far away, or you won't have enough fuel to make the return trip.
  • Looping: Instead of flying in straight lines, fly in figure-eights around the carrier to keep your guns facing outward while staying close to fuel.
  • Priority Targets: Shoot the planes that are closest to the carrier first. If the carrier sinks, you lose.
