Description
One button, and all it does is make the block fall. In BreakIt you guide a block down a tower, smashing the breakable platforms on each floor and staying clear of the obstacles set into them. Reach the bottom safely and the level is done.
Letting go is the real move
Holding the button drops the block, and the breakable platforms give way as it goes through. That part takes no skill. The decision is when to release, because releasing stops the block where it is. A stop is your chance to look at the floor below and work out where the obstacles sit before you commit to the next stretch of falling.
Holding the button the whole way down turns the game into a gamble. A series of short drops with a pause between each works better, since an early release costs a second and a late one can cost the run.
One obstacle ends the run
Hitting an obstacle ends the game, which makes each floor a small risk check:
- Look at the whole floor before you fall onto it, not only the gap right under the block.
- If a stretch is crowded with obstacles, stop above it and wait until you are sure of the safe line.
- Use short presses in tight spots so the block moves a short way and no further.

Instructions
How to Play BreakIt
- Click and hold your mouse button (or tap and hold on your screen) to make the block fall.
- As you fall, your block will automatically smash through the breakable platforms.
- Release the button to make the block stop. This allows you to pause and time your descent.
- Your main challenge is to avoid hitting the platforms with obstacles. If you touch an obstacle, the game is over.
Your goal is to safely guide the block to the bottom of the tower to complete the level!
